My name is Alan Bumstead and this is my 'accidental hobby'. I'm ex Royal Signals and then a motor vehicle engineer by trade and later still, a college lecturer/department head for motor vehicle engineering. I took early retirement after a mental breakdown, that was 9 years ago. Tooth Patterns
1- Roman
Double tooth on single edge is standard.

Triple tooth as an option on a single edge.

* Available on both edges as a paying option.

2- Sting
Single teeth on the side with the holes.

3- Warlord
Single teeth all 4 sides is standard.

* Double teeth as an option.

Foot Plate Options
6mm Solid brass foot plates are available and are hand made and attached using marine grade stainless steel Allen bolts and secured using Loctite thread lock

Mini Me Roman and Mini Me Warlord, based upon a quality Spear and Jackson stainless steel children's spade, with a hardwood handle, miniature 6mm brass foot plates x2, bungee shoulder strap and child safe blade edges and teeth. With an 81cm length, compared to 97cm for adult Optimist Spade. Weight is just 980grams against 1.86kgs for adult spade.
